Description
Mono-varietal wine made from Viognier, a typical grape from the lower valley of the French Rhone, which has found an ideal habitat in Tuscany and in particular on the Florentine hills. Produced by Castello di Poppiano in an innovative spirit. The name of the wine derives from that of the vineyard, a very suitable position where Viognier best expresses its potential. Typical fruity notes on the nose (peach and apricot), with good structure and freshness on the palate. Fermentation of the grapes on the skins to extract fatness, color and aroma.
Grape varieties: Viognier
Fermentation and aging: cold maceration before the fermentation and then aging in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes: attractive slightly yellow color with green hues, floral fragrance sustained by fruity aromas of peach and apricot, harmonic, round, well-structured body, long pleasant finish.
Pairings: roasted fish, shellfish and seafood in general. Also excellent with cold cuts, meat tartare and first courses based on mushrooms and truffles.
