Description
Tricorno is the most challenging wine of Castello di Poppiano, where Tuscan tradition and innovation meet.
Grapes: Sangiovese 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Merlot 20%
Vinification: Fermentation in vats at a controlled temperature of 27-28°C and maceration for 18-20 days.
Maturation and aging: In vats, then for at least 24 months in French oak barrels (Allier). Aging in bottle for at least 4 months.
Alcohol content: 13.5-14.5% vol.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color with purple reflections, elegant and balanced: hints of vanilla with balsamic notes, rich and imposing structure, soft tannins, delicate and elegant texture. Long and tasty finish.
