Description
Francesco Guicciardini, a politician, diplomat, and statesman, retired to Arcetri and Poppiano in his later years (1537-1540), where he wrote part of his monumental “History of Italy,” the first work to place Italian events in the broader context of European politics. This wine, a product of Poppiano, his homeland, is a tribute to our great ancestor, the father of modern historiography.
