The Guicciardini for centuries have cultivated Sangiovese (the undiscussed king of Tuscan viticulture) on the sunny hills of Castello di Poppiano. This wine is an expression of its purest character and its most recognizable organoleptic characteristics
Grape varieties: Sangiovese
Fermentation and aging: fermentation in stainless steel vats and aging in big oak casks.
Tasting Notes: ruby color of great intensity, complex aromas of undergrowth red fruits, smooth and robust body which well sustained by sweets tannins and balanced alcohol. Long, tasty finish.
Pairings: Pasta with meat sauce, grilled, roasted or stewed red meats (beef, pork, game, lamb). Particularly suitable with complex structure, fat and flavor food (stewed beef).
