Description
The Guicciardini family has cultivated Sangiovese, the undisputed king of Tuscan viticulture, on the sunny hills of the Castello di Poppiano for centuries.
Grape variety: Sangiovese 100%
Vinification: Fermentation in controlled temperature vats at 27-28 °C and maceration for 15-18 days.
Maturation and aging: In vats, then for 12 months in French oak barrels (Allier). Aging in bottle for at least 3 months.
Alcohol content: 13-13.5% vol.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color, complex aromas of berries, significant body supported by velvety tannins and a balanced alcohol content. Long and elegant finish.
