Description

Syrah is an ancient Middle Eastern traditional grape, whose name derives from the ancient Persian city of Shiraz. Brought to Europe and Italy by the ancient Romans, it found an ideal habitat in Tuscany. This wine enhances the most typical qualities such as spiciness, intriguing aromas and robustness. The pleasantly soft and balanced finish helps to make it a captivating and complex wine.

Grape varieties: Syrah

Fermentation and aging: in stainless steel vats and aging in big oak casks and partly in barriques.

Tasting Notes: purple intense, bright color, pepper and cloves open up to fruits with complex delicate “boisé” notes.Tyipical black pepper and vanilla hints Roundness balanced with a solid but not aggressive body, smooth voluptuous texture, long finish with intriguing fruity notes.

Pairings: grilled or stewed red meats, in particular lamb in all its different versions (grilled, roasted or stewed), game, spicy and aged cheeses. Spicy food in general.
